The following is a list of rules pertaining to general forum conduct. These rules are to be followed at all times, as they apply to the site in its entirety.
---------------~---------------
Penalty System The Council reserves the right to increase or decrease the severity of the penalty according to the severity of the action that requires it.
[Warn 1] > [Warn 2] > [Warn 3] > [3 Day Suspension] > [7 Day Suspension] > [Ban]
You are encouraged to report infringements of these rules.
---------------~--------------- -- RespectRespect your fellow members [staff esp.], their beliefs, mannerisms, culture, etc. at all times. If you are caught flaming, trolling, or any such manner of derogatory speech, you will receive a warning. Any further action taken will follow that of the Penalty System.-- Relevance & LiteracyAs amusing as 'i liek cheez' or 'hi ppl wut up?' may be, pointless messages of this sort (spamming) are disallowed. For the sake of preserving a literate community, we encourage you, as a member, to post - on topic - using your best grammar. Please do not double post. If there is something else you wish to add, please edit your previous post to include your thoughts. If you wish to relax from the rigidity of formal English, feel free to spam in designated areas. If you are warned on 3 or more occasions, further action taken will follow that of the Penalty System.-- RatingHere, we use the Universal RPG Rating System. Based on the criteria for each category (Language, Sexual Content, and Violence) we use 212. This means: Language (2): Swearing is generally permitted. However, the language cannot be used to severely abuse. Sexual Content (1): Mild sexual innuendo and references permitted. No explicit representations or references to genitalia or sex acts. Violence (2): Graphic is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration of violence is allowed. Punishments will vary according to the severity of the infringement.-- Enjoy YourselfSelf-explanatory; simply follow the above and have fun.

The following is a guide for conduct in an in-character situation. All members are to adhere to these rules whenever in role play.
---------------~--------------- -- ProfilesYou must create a character profile and have it approved by either a Global Moderator or Administrator before you begin. Contrary to prior forum regulations, there is NO LIMIT on number of characters per account. Use as many, however often you wish. The one exception is if you hold a leadership/limited position, you must be active with that character or risk losing the position. However, you are required to list all characters on your account in your signature to keep things organized. Posting without a valid profile will result in post deletion, reduction of post count, and a warning. You are allowed 3 warnings. Further penalty will be at the discretion of the Council.--Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu [Click for Wikipedia article on Mary Sues] Please do NOT make a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu character. These are unoriginal, unfair, and generally an extreme annoyance to role play with or against. You will be warned once for having a Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus character. Further penalty will be given at the discretion of the Council. -- PostingYou must comply to General Forum Conduct rules at all times.[l]-- God-Moding/PowerplayingGModing or PPing, as they are commonly called, is strictly disallowed. These two terms cover a variety of unfair manners of role playing. All of the below are included, and will receive warning. [1] Taking control of another member's character(s) without given permission. [2] 'Super' characters with amazing abilities of skill, strength, etc. (i.e. - never hurt, constant evade, magical powers, etc.) [3] Controlling non-player characters. NPCs are to be played by their creators, those allowed by the creators, and the staff - anything beyond that is a direct violation of Rule 1. -- AccuracySet in a medieval time period, a crucial key to realistic role playing lies in your ability to conform to the setting. There will be no guns, tanks, etc. Please note that we do not use crossbows in this forum. You will be warned only once before suspension.
-- LengthAlthough we do not expect full essays on every post (wonderful though it would be), we do, at least, expect a fairly decent post. A normal post consists of about 7-8 sentences; about the length of a small paragraph. Oneliners - posts with only one sentence - will be deleted, and you will be requested to rewrite your post. Action taken will adhere to the Penalty System.
-- TextIt is not disallowed, but we discourage members from using colored, formatted, etc. text for several reasons - - the default text has already been formatted to be legible - the default text does not clash with the background, being of suitable saturation and brightness - some members have sensitive eyes; for the sake of their comfort, please refrain from using colored text - text decorations load slowly; please do not ruin the role playing experience for others with slow internet with pages that lag
